Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Click the "Get Started" button in the top-right corner. Enter your username and email, click "Send Code", then enter the 6-digit code you receive along with your chosen password. Codes are valid for 10 minutes.
How do I upload a photo and start restoring?
After logging in, go to the Restore Studio. Click the upload area or drag a photo onto the page. Select your restore mode and output resolution, then click "Start Restore". Most restorations complete within seconds.
Where is the Restore Studio?
After logging in, click "Restore Studio" in the top navigation bar, or navigate directly to /workbench.
How do I download my restored photo?
Once restoration is complete, the result appears on the right side of the studio. Click the "Download" button below the image to save a high-quality PNG. You can also click any thumbnail in your history to enlarge and download it.
How long is restoration history saved?
History is saved in your browser's local storage with no time limit. Note that clearing your browser data will erase it permanently — download your results promptly.
Credits & Payment
What are credits and how do I get them?
Credits are consumed each time you restore a photo. The amount depends on the output resolution you choose. Credits are purchased in one-time packs — no subscription required. A small number of free credits are granted when you register.
How many credits does each resolution tier use?
1K Standard uses 1 credit, 2K HD uses 3 credits, and 4K Ultra uses 12 credits. The system automatically chooses a landscape, portrait, or square output size based on the source image orientation.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire, so you can buy as needed without worrying about them going to waste.
What payment methods are supported?
We currently support Alipay and WeChat Pay via the ZPay platform. Payments are processed securely.
My credits didn't arrive after purchase — what should I do?
Credits typically arrive within seconds of a successful payment. If they haven't appeared after 5 minutes, refresh the page and check your account balance. If the issue persists, email us with your order number (format: PR + date + digits).
How do I request an invoice?
Email blacklaw@foxmail.com with a screenshot of your purchase, the invoice recipient name, and your email address. We'll send an electronic invoice within 3 business days.
Can I get a refund on credits?
Credit purchases are generally non-refundable. Please buy only what you need. If a system error on our side consumed credits without returning a result, we'll verify and refund the affected credits.
Restoration Features
What image formats and sizes are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WEBP are supported, up to 20 MB per image. For best results, upload original scans rather than images that have been compressed multiple times.
What's the difference between the six restore modes?
"Smart Restore" suits most old photos — it repairs scratches, fading, and blur comprehensively. "Detail Enhance" sharpens textures and local detail. "Portrait Restore" focuses on faces, skin tone, hair, and clothing near the subject, ideal for old ID photos and portraits. "Colorize" first repairs damage, improves clarity, and enhances detail, then adds natural historical color to black-and-white photos. "Light Restore" removes only obvious flaws, preserving the original vintage character. "Photo Sharpen" is for normal photos that need clearer detail, light deblurring, denoising, and haze reduction.
What's the difference between the three output resolutions?
1K Standard (1 credit) is great for quick previews. 2K HD (3 credits) suits everyday sharing and small prints. 4K Ultra (12 credits) is ideal for large prints, albums, or archival copies.
Will restoration change the people in my photo?
No intentional changes are made. The AI targets repair only — it preserves identity, facial structure, expression, and pose, without beautification or modernization.
What if the restoration fails or I'm unhappy with the result?
Try switching modes: use Smart Restore for most old photos, Portrait Restore for portraits and old ID photos, Detail Enhance for unclear textures, Colorize for black-and-white or sepia images, Light Restore when you want to preserve more vintage texture, and Photo Sharpen for normal photos that are not clear enough. Results depend heavily on the original photo quality — very heavily damaged or low-resolution images may yield limited results. If credits were consumed but no result was returned, contact us for a refund.
Can I restore photos in bulk?
The current version handles one photo at a time. Batch restoration is on our roadmap. If you have bulk needs, feel free to email us to discuss a custom arrangement.
Account & Security
How do I change my password?
Log in and click your avatar in the top-right to go to "My Account". In the "Change Password" section, enter your current and new password (at least 6 characters) and save.
I forgot my password — what do I do?
Self-service password reset is not available yet. Email blacklaw@foxmail.com with your registered email address and we'll help reset your password after verifying your identity.
Are my photos safe?
Your uploaded photos are used only for the current restoration and are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours. They are never made public, used for model training, or shared with any third party. All transfers use HTTPS encryption.
What is an API key and how do I use it?
API keys let developers call the restore API programmatically without logging in through the browser. Generate a key in "My Account" → "API Keys". Include it in request headers as: Authorization: Bearer <your_key>. API calls consume credits from your account.
How do I request account deletion?
Email blacklaw@foxmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and your registered email. We'll delete your account and all associated data (including credits and order history) within 15 business days.
Why is email verification required for registration?
Email verification confirms you own the address, preventing others from registering with your email. Codes are 6 digits, valid for 10 minutes, with a 60-second cooldown per email address.
